1/2 cup of rolled oats
1 scoop of chocolate protein powder
1 cup of coconut water
2.5 tbsp of hemp seeds
1 banana
2 tbsp of cashew butter
1 oz of goji or dried mulberries (I added a superfoods mix that included nuts)
Scoop your oats in a small pan and turn on the heat low. Add the coconut water and allow the oatmeal to simmer on low, stirring often. Once the coconut water is almost all absorbed by the oats, add the protein powder and mix it in thoroughly. If you like spices or flavors, this is a great time to add them-use all natural vanilla extract and some cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice. Stir in thoroughly. Transfer the oatmeal to a bowl.
Slice up your banana and add it to the oatmeal along with the hemp seeds, berries and cashew butter. Eat anyway and anywhere you wish. My favorite seat in my apartment is right in front of my open window-it's relaxing and makes me feel like I'm one with nature.
There is just something about oats that makes me so happy. I think it's everything I put in them that makes them extra special but I would be super, insanely happy with just oats, coconut water and cinnamon. Oats are an extremely comforting, warming and filling food, they are kind of like a huge hug for your tummy. I can make oats 8,000 different ways I'm sure so in case you're wondering why I post alot of oatmeal, I can't get enough of it!
So, I invite you to try some hemp seeds. I get the Navitas Naturals brand-they also sell goji berries, mulberries, cacao powder etc etc etc...check them out here
